Graphic Packaging provides Scholarship to QCHS

Mr. Holmes and Mrs. Bates attended a luncheon at the Graphic Packaging paper mill on Wednesday.  They are working on a partnership with the local schools to increase student interest in degrees, certifications and careers in manufacturing.  Several representatives came to QCHS this semester and met with all juniors and seniors to discuss the paper mill and career opportunities.  They are working on a tour program to begin next year where we will be able to take interested students to the mill for a tour.  At the luncheon, each school was given a donation to provide a scholarship to a deserving senior who plans to pursue a manufacturing related certification or degree.
