Texas FFA Leadership Conference
On December 9-11, some sophomore members of the Queen City FFA traveled nearly 10 hours to Kingsville, TX for an opportunity to attend a Texas FFA Leadership Conference hosted at Texas A&M University in Kingsville.

The students that were able to go were:

Brent Latham
Steven Stone
Tallen Boone
Spencer Warren
Cody Blank
Reagan Wright
Ashley Corbit
Allyson Hamilton
Emilee Henry

Students learned how to incorporate courage, strength and wisdom into their continually growing leadership roles. Students also participated in various "get-to-know-you" activities, teamwork activities, and friendly competitions.  Students were able to identify their own strength and implement strategies for utilizing teammates' strengths. They proudly walked away from this conference understanding the importance of continual growth, the definition of leadership, working with others, and are now able to identify characteristics that make a strong leader.

This is the first time Queen City FFA has been able to attend this very beneficial conference and we are so happy that we had the opportunity. The students had a GREAT time and truly surprised themselves on many different aspects of the conference! FFA is not just showing animals or "missing school". It is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success and we are all SO proud to be a part of it. Thank you ALL for your support with this amazing program that continues to make a huge difference in the lives of these students; as well as the 3 Ag teachers here at QCHS.
